Almost 50 per cent of aspiring entrepreneurs from the UK think they should move overseas to achieve success, reports emigrate.co.uk.
An international study into the aspirations of would-be entrepreneurs carried out by accountancy firm Mazars and travel programme operator Smaller Earth showed that 46 per cent believe there is more chance now than there was two years ago of them emigrating so as to fulfill their ambitions.
The respondents named the US as the most attractive destination, with 27 per cent viewing it as the place with the most potential for them to achieve success. The British entrepreneurs appear to believe that the ‘American Dream’ is alive and kicking, as 36 per cent feel that the country will help them fulfill their ambitions.
However, the rest of the world views the UK as the second most attractive destination for entrepreneurs, with 11 per cent of Americans viewing the U as their country of choice. Even though 46 per cent of wannabe entrepreneurs want to leave Britain, the number favourably compare to other countries in the EU. Some 78 per cent of aspiring entrepreneurs in Germany would like to move abroad, while 67 per cent of those from France and Greece feel the same.
